ROCKVILLE, MD -- Biotech company Celera Group (NYSE: CRA) announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Atria Genetics, Inc. for $33 million in an all cash transaction.

Atria has a line of human leukocyte antigen testing products that are helpful for identifying potential donors in the matching process for bone marrow transplantation.

Celera already had a relationship with Atria, but the acquisition will allow Celera to retain a higher percentage of Atria's marketing revenues in its agreement with Abbott Molecular.
